What Could Be More Fun Than Biking Across England
If your an avid biker that spends a lot of time biking around your own neck of the woods, your probably getting to know your own urban, country, and back roads pretty well. Maybe you’ve been doing that for quite a while, and your starting to get a bit of wanderlust in your eyes to take your bike a little further from home. Well, there may be some pretty popular places that come to mind when it comes to biking in foreign lands, and places like the Australian outback, the Canadian rockies, the rolling hills of Scotland, and the beautiful green country side of Ireland come to mind. Well, there is another country that I think would be pretty cool to bike across, and that is England.
If your planning for biking in England, there are a few things to think about. Is your current bike really up to the task. If not, then you may want to look around a bit, and maybe even buy bikes online if you can find what your looking for. Once that’s taken care of, you will of course have to plan for the weather. It is England after all, and your going to have to be prepared for rain. Not just for you and your bike, but also for your gear and provisions as well. Don’t let the wetness get you down too much though, the clouds will provide protection from the sun, and their formations can be every bit as majestic as mountains or ocean sunsets.
Do allow for a little more time when biking in England. Especially if your used to biking in a country like the US. English roads tend to be a bit more rural, and require a bit more persistence to get through.   But, the view is definitely worth it. Do also bring a GPS. Your biking in a strange land, and the road signs even at their best, are going to be different than what your used to. But, England is definitely worth the effort. The scenery, culture and people you will meet along the way make it all worthwhile.
