Five Must See Attractions in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a big city with lots of attractions. Although these five things only scratch the surface, they are famous main attractions in Los Angeles and will lead to a great Los Angeles trip! Cheap international flights are always available to LA so make sure you put these top 5 attractions at the top of your list to do while visiting.
Hollywood
Hollywood is a famous part of Los Angeles. It is centered around Hollywood Boulevard, especially where it intersects with Highland Boulevard. It lies under the well-known “Hollywood” sign on the hill. The Walk of Fame can be found on Hollywood Boulevard, where famous men and women have imprinted their hands and feet in cement and signed their names by these imprints. The Chinese Theatre is also located in Hollywood, and many film premieres occur there. Also in Hollywood is the Hollywood Bowl, where many outdoor concerts take place, the Hollywood Heritage Museum, and Paramount Studios.
Venice Beach and Santa Monica
Both Venice Beach and Santa Monica are great places to go to the beach and see the local eccentric culture. Venice Beach is famous for its boardwalk, where many different types of people will be encountered, and its graffiti walls. Santa Monica is much more about the beach, although it too has a boardwalk that juts out into the ocean rather than going down the side of the beach. There is a mini theme park here and many restaurants to go to. Also in Santa Monica a few blocks from the beach is the Third Street Promenade, an excellent shopping area for those less interested in the beach.
Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive
At the center of the famous Beverly Hills, where many stars live, is Rodeo Drive, the upscale shopping and restaurant area. The most famous part of Rodeo Drive is the stretch between Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, where all of the most high-end couture shops are located. Beverly Hills is also home to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the Golden Globes take place. Many films and TV shows have been set or shot in Beverly Hills, including 90210, Clueless, Beverly Hillbillies, and many others.
Universal Studios
Although Universal Studios was originally opened to give tours of film sets and sound stages, many attractions have been added to it to make it a thoroughly fun place to spend a day. Now, about half of the park is a theme park, with famous rides including Jurassic Park. There is also a studio tour for those interested in the film sets of famous films shot there.
Farmers Market and the Grove
The Farmers Market has been open since 1934. It was at first just a place for farmers to sell their produce, but has since evolved into an area of various food stands and cuisines. The Grove is a shopping area near the Farmers Market that has various stores, movie theaters, and restaurants. Tour buses usually come through here during the day and locals frequent it in the evenings.
Los Angeles has many famous areas, but these are the big five. There are some passes that can be bought to reduce the price of attractions, such as the Southern California CityPass, which gets you admission to Disneyland and Universal Studios as well as some attractions in San Diego. Another option includes the Los Angeles Go Card, which includes many attractions but not Disneyland. Whether you buy a pass or not, you’re sure to have a great time in Los Angeles.

My sister is engaged finally! When she came home she showed off her beautiful emerald cut engagement ring to me and then she asked me if I can help her plan their honeymoon. I suggested that they go to LA since there are a lot of amazing places to see there. I gave her the link to this article so she can choose what places to visit. She said it was really helpful and they will both check it out when they fly to LA on their honeymoon.
