The weather is probably the one thing that makes people sceptical about holidaying in the UK and changing the weather in the UK is a little beyond the scope of this article, however, if you make the most of what is available to you and do not let yourself get hung up on the negatives then there are still some great options to be had!

One thing that the UK is great for, possibly the best in the world is relaxing country break, these types of holiday are great when you just need to get away either on your own and totally escape from everything or as a family when you want to spend some quality time away. A countryside holiday in a cottage where you totally shut off the stress of 9-5 and get away from emails and ringing phones can’t be bad for anyone and with the pace of life today especially for people who really focus on their careers it can be a real battery recharger!

Before you pick up a holiday brochure and start looking at spending over a thousand pounds to take your family away oversees why not some holiday cottages UK based and think about the possibilities there instead?

If you happen to be in Cardiff for a few days and you are looking for the perfect place to watch a nice movie, you will be delighted to know that there are four main cinemas operating in the area – Odeon, Vue, Chapters Arts Center, and Cineworld. Chapters Arts Center is more than just a cinema, it is actually considered as the most dynamic and largest arts center in Europe. It features studio, cafes, bars as well as exhibition spaces. Among the four, the Odeaon Cardiff Cinema on Red Dragon Center right along Hemingway Road is frequented by both locals and tourists alike.

The area housing Odeon Cardiff is being serviced by buses and trains so getting to and from this cinema will never be a problem. The Odeon Cinema Cardiff has a 2869 seating capacity and features around eighteen screens. Formerly known by the name UCI Cinema Cardiff, the cinema also offers facilities for disabled people in all its eighteen screens. Odeon is also known to host conferences or events right on its spacious cinema. Holding a conference or a special event on a cinema will offer participants with an exciting new environment. This can also help stimulate the interest of participating delegates thus ensuring that whatever event you may be holding will be a sure success.

My sweet husband loves the game of golf more than I can even imagine. He works in golf, and he spends his free time playing it too. To me, I do not want to even think about my job on the weekends, my husband eats, breaths, and sleeps his job. I forgot to mention when we travel, the trip typically revolves around golf. I don’t mind this because when there is a golf course nearby, there is usually a spa for me to enjoy. Our latest trip was to Scotland so my husband could experience the historic and impressive courses of St. Andrews. I was in awe the first time I stepped out on the Old Course of St. Andrews, but honestly all of the courses we played blew me away. The three courses that I enjoyed the most were the Old Course, The Duke’s, and the Kittocks. Even if you are not a golfer, if you are in Scotland near St. Andrews, I recommend just going to have a look, and I bet you’ll be as stunned as I was. -The first time the Old Course was played was around the year 1400. I cannot even fathom how long ago that was or what in the world those golf clubs would have looked like, but you can feel the history in the cool Scottish air like you wouldn’t believe. -The Duke’s course was first opened in 1995, and it is continually ranked as a top golf course. It is very obvious as to why when you step out onto the immaculate green grass and see the quick greens. -The Kittocks is one of the newer courses that opened in 2008. I loved this course because of its layout and intricacies. Even the golfer Gene Sarazen compared it to the well-known course in California, Pebble Beach. -No matter why you are taking a visit to Scotland, there is nothing better than to see Scottish history at its best. Golf is one of the favorite pastimes of Scotland, and you can tell that the country relishes in that very fact. My husband was entranced by seeing the courses and actually being able to play them, but I think the history lover inside of him showed as well. If you love history, golf, or Scottish culture, take some time to visit St. Andrews.

Doing a thorough background screening is paramount before leasing a property to a new tenant. Running a tenant checks will help eliminate potential problems later on. If you do not do background and credit checks on your prospect tenant, there is big possibility that the tenant will vacate the property without paying the rental arrears or leave it in shambles which can cost you thousands of dollars for renovation. Therefore, to avoid these scenarios the importance of screening the renter’s background and his/her capacity to pay can never be stressed enough.

Remember that bad and dishonest tenants are liabilities and will most likely cost you a lot of money. So to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of such kind of tenant it would be good idea to confirm the identity of your prospect renter before leasing him/her your property. Conducting an interview will help you to know more about your potential tenant. Ask for the renter’s name, contact number, number of people who will occupy the house, reason for leasing the property, job, monthly income, and police record.

To verify the identity of a prospect renter or houses for sale in Sheffield, you can call the human resource department of the company where is working or you can do business background checks if the applicant is operating a business. It is advised that you require your prospect tenants to submit copies of bank statements or tax fillings so that you can assess if they are capable of paying the monthly rent without delay.

There is nothing wrong in being too careful. After all, leasing a property is a serious business therefore you have to ensure that you are dealing with an honest and trust-worthy tenant by doing an extensive background and credit check.

If you are trying to find a bargain in one of the most expensive cities in the world, there are a few tips and tricks to finding cheap hotels in London. You should consider what you are willing to compromise on such as location, style or facilities, especially if you don’t intend to spend much time at the hotel itself and prefer to be out and about exploring the sights, galleries and nightlife.

1. Location
If you are spending a weekend break in London, or only have a few days, you don’t want to be travelling too much. Choose a central location where you have the option to walk to some of you top priority attractions. However, London has a fantastic transport network with many buses in operation 24 hours. A hotel away from the city centre is where you can make the biggest savings, just make sure your transport costs don’t add up to more than a city centre hotel and that there is a tube station or bus stop close to your hotel.

2. Breakfast
Eating out three meals a day can be expensive, so book a hotel that offers a free breakfast to set you up for the day. You could also pocket a piece of fruit from the buffet which could serve for as a snack whilst you are out. If there is a kettle in the room for tea and coffee facilities, it might be worth bringing a thermos flask which you can pop in you backpack and that is your mid-morning cuppa sorted.

3. Facilities
Some hotels charge a small fortune for internet access so be sure to find out their rates. If you are travelling with a smart phone, choose a hostel with free Wi-Fi access.

Some hotels in London offer dorm-style accommodation, a cheaper alternative to private rooms.

Find a hotel that offers free bike hire; cycling in London is a fun, zippy and cheap way to get around.

If you are travelling with a car, be sure to book a hotel with parking because you might struggle to find a space or pay expensive rates if you park it on the street.

If so, then allow this article to help you find the best one. In this regard, below are some of the top conference venues in London that you should check out. Remember that you should take note of three important criteria – space, service and amenities, cost – when choosing a suitable conference venue to ensure that you will make the right choice.

The Montague on the Gardens

This is a popular conference venue that gets five stars for their exemplary service. The Great Russel Suite, in particular, is ideal for those expecting around 50 participants.

The Cumberland (Guoman Hotel)

The best thing about this conference venue is the fact that it has a great location. It is situated just around the Marble Arch Tube station thus allowing easy access to public transportation. The catering provided is excellent wherein four varied kinds of dishes will be served in buffet style. The Ocean Room is ideal for those expecting around 90 – 190 delegates to attend the conference.

Cavendish Conference Center

If you want your delegates to get a star treatment, then this is the perfect venue to choose. The Cavendish Conference Center is equipped with an in-house AV and offers top quality services. It has a great location since it is just a 10 minute walk from the Oxford circus tube station.

To help you find the best conference venue in London, you have to first ascertain how many delegates are expected to attend the event as well as the exact date and time of the conference. You also have to consider how much the rental would cost you and if it fits your company budget.

Hollywood

Hollywood is a famous part of Los Angeles. It is centered around Hollywood Boulevard, especially where it intersects with Highland Boulevard. It lies under the well-known “Hollywood” sign on the hill. The Walk of Fame can be found on Hollywood Boulevard, where famous men and women have imprinted their hands and feet in cement and signed their names by these imprints. The Chinese Theatre is also located in Hollywood, and many film premieres occur there. Also in Hollywood is the Hollywood Bowl, where many outdoor concerts take place, the Hollywood Heritage Museum, and Paramount Studios.

Venice Beach and Santa Monica

Both Venice Beach and Santa Monica are great places to go to the beach and see the local eccentric culture. Venice Beach is famous for its boardwalk, where many different types of people will be encountered, and its graffiti walls. Santa Monica is much more about the beach, although it too has a boardwalk that juts out into the ocean rather than going down the side of the beach. There is a mini theme park here and many restaurants to go to. Also in Santa Monica a few blocks from the beach is the Third Street Promenade, an excellent shopping area for those less interested in the beach.

Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive

At the center of the famous Beverly Hills, where many stars live, is Rodeo Drive, the upscale shopping and restaurant area. The most famous part of Rodeo Drive is the stretch between Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, where all of the most high-end couture shops are located. Beverly Hills is also home to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the Golden Globes take place. Many films and TV shows have been set or shot in Beverly Hills, including 90210, Clueless, Beverly Hillbillies, and many others.

Universal Studios

Although Universal Studios was originally opened to give tours of film sets and sound stages, many attractions have been added to it to make it a thoroughly fun place to spend a day. Now, about half of the park is a theme park, with famous rides including Jurassic Park. There is also a studio tour for those interested in the film sets of famous films shot there.

Farmers Market and the Grove

The Farmers Market has been open since 1934. It was at first just a place for farmers to sell their produce, but has since evolved into an area of various food stands and cuisines. The Grove is a shopping area near the Farmers Market that has various stores, movie theaters, and restaurants. Tour buses usually come through here during the day and locals frequent it in the evenings.

Los Angeles has many famous areas, but these are the big five. There are some passes that can be bought to reduce the price of attractions, such as the Southern California CityPass, which gets you admission to Disneyland and Universal Studios as well as some attractions in San Diego. Another option includes the Los Angeles Go Card, which includes many attractions but not Disneyland. Whether you buy a pass or not, you’re sure to have a great time in Los Angeles.

If your an avid biker that spends a lot of time biking around your own neck of the woods, your probably getting to know your own urban, country, and back roads pretty well. Maybe you’ve been doing that for quite a while, and your starting to get a bit of wanderlust in your eyes to take your bike a little further from home. Well, there may be some pretty popular places that come to mind when it comes to biking in foreign lands, and places like the Australian outback, the Canadian rockies, the rolling hills of Scotland, and the beautiful green country side of Ireland come to mind. Well, there is another country that I think would be pretty cool to bike across, and that is England.

If your planning for biking in England, there are a few things to think about. Is your current bike really up to the task. If not, then you may want to look around a bit, and maybe even buy bikes online if you can find what your looking for. Once that’s taken care of, you will of course have to plan for the weather. It is England after all, and your going to have to be prepared for rain. Not just for you and your bike, but also for your gear and provisions as well. Don’t let the wetness get you down too much though, the clouds will provide protection from the sun, and their formations can be every bit as majestic as mountains or ocean sunsets.

Do allow for a little more time when biking in England. Especially if your used to biking in a country like the US. English roads tend to be a bit more rural, and require a bit more persistence to get through.   But, the view is definitely worth it. Do also bring a GPS. Your biking in a strange land, and the road signs even at their best, are going to be different than what your used to. But, England is definitely worth the effort. The scenery, culture and people you will meet along the way make it all worthwhile.

Sun, surf and super sexy nightlife – what’s not to love about Sydney! With its stunning harbour, Sydney is one of the world’s most beautiful and vibrant cities and you’ll find a good choice of cheap Sydney hotels and backpacker hostels near the CBD and in beachside locations and plenty to see and do besides checking out the big two Sydney icons: the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

There are also world-class museums and galleries to explore, famous beaches (don’t just head for Bondi, ask locals which beach they love best) and vibrant neighbourhoods such as The Rocks, Darlinghurst, Paddington, Surry Hills, Woolloomooloo, Newtown and Kings Cross.

While a harbour cruise, BridgeClimb and an Opera House tour top many visitors’ must-do list there are cheaper alternatives. For instance, you can simply stroll across the bridge to get dramatic views of the Opera House and harbour and a ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly or Watsons Bay is a much cheaper alternative to taking a harbour cruise.

Did you know you can camp right on Sydney Harbour? Try the overnight Roar and Snore experience at Taronga Park Zoo, or for a cheaper alternative, take your own tent or rent a tent overnight on Cockatoo Island.

The Royal Botanic Gardens are a tranquil oasis by the harbour perfect for a meandering stroll and a picnic. Nearby, The Rocks is Sydney’s oldest neighbourhood with some great pubs, historic buildings and markets every weekend.

Eating out on the cheap in Sydney is easy and delicious with a wide choice of affordable multi-cultural restaurants and hearty pub grub.

Sydney lives up to its reputation for being flashy and flamboyant but you’ll find most Sydneysiders welcoming, helpful and fun-loving. Summer is when the city really gets in party mode with the launch of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race on Boxing Day, followed by one of the world’s most spectacular New Year’s Eve parties as fireworks explode over the harbour, the Sydney Festival throughout January and the outrageous and fun Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in late February which culminates in a spectacular street parade.

With a wide choice of cheap Sydney hotels and hostels a leisurely stay is within any backpacker’s budget.
